The national key project Airbus A320 series aircraft assembly line in Tianjin is the second national key project reviewed and approved by the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee after the Three Gorges Project. This is the third final assembly line established by Boeing and Airbus, the world's two largest airlines, outside Europe and the United States. The project covers an area of 600,000 square meters, with a construction area of 115,000 square meters. It consists of the Airbus A320 series aircraft assembly production facilities and related auxiliary facilities. The main buildings include the main entrance, office building, contracted sales center, training center, Support service center, large parts warehouse, final assembly line warehouse, logistics center, painting hangar, power station, final assembly and flight maintenance warehouse, fuel testing hangar, weighing hangar, delivery center, fuel station, etc.
Tianjin Airbus A320 series aircraft final assembly production line building complex has many building units, including steel structure, concrete frame structure, metal roof system, metal wall composite panel system, metal wall corrugated panel system, exposed frame glass curtain wall, hidden frame Various systems such as glass curtain wall, stone curtain wall, and skylight system, coupled with the very tight construction period of the project, posed very difficult challenges to the Hoogovens team.
The main buildings of the Tianjin Airbus A320 series aircraft final assembly production line have large spans and extremely high requirements for waterproof and wind resistance. Hoogovens engineering design team, according to the technical requirements of customers and designers, and also according to the geographical characteristics of Tianjin Airbus location with high wind pressure, combined with the production process requirements of each building unit, through structural calculation, modeling analysis, combined with the various building systems Features, customized professional design was carried out, and design resources were reasonably arranged according to the overall progress requirements of the project, which met the progress requirements of the project and completed the design tasks of the project with high quality.
Under the huge pressure of tight schedule and heavy tasks, the Hoogovens project management team carried out careful planning and deployment, fully mobilized the resources of all parties, and finally successfully completed the delivery according to the time node required by the owner, which was highly recognized by the customer And won the advanced enterprise award of the Airbus A320 series aircraft China final assembly engineering project "100-day competition for safe production in preparation for the Olympic Games".
Appreciation of main buildings:
The main entrance is composed of the main body of the guard room and the steel scaffolding. The main structure of the guard room is a single-story concrete frame structure. The steel scaffolding is composed of curved steel beams and cable-stayed systems. The cantilevered length of the steel beams is 18m. The roof adopts Hoogovens’ H65 standing seam metal roof system.
The assembly plant consists of an assembly hall and an annex building. The annex building on the first floor is mainly equipped with some auxiliary rooms for the assembly, and the second and third floors are supporting office rooms. The basement is equipped with various rooms required by the profession. The roof adopts Hoogovens H65 standing seam metal roof system, and the wall adopts Hoogovens HW30 metal corrugated board system for vertical arrangement.
The painting workshop is composed of a painting workshop and a VTC. The painting workshop is a double-span steel bent frame system composed of steel columns and steel roof trusses. It consists of two painting halls and an annex building. The annex building is a cast-in-place reinforced concrete frame-shear wall structure; VTC is a cast-in-place reinforced concrete frame-shear wall structure, which is composed of tail painting, painting training, technical rooms and auxiliary rooms. The roof adopts the H65 standing seam metal roof system, and the wall adopts the Hoogovens metal composite panel system.
The large parts warehouse is a single-story steel structure warehouse, which is composed of a warehouse hall and ancillary rooms. The total building height is 18.0m, and the lower chord elevation of the indoor roof truss is 14.4m. The design plane of the single building is rectangular, and the column grid in the direction of the bay is 5.0m+22.5m×3. The roof adopts the H65 standing seam metal roof system, and the wall adopts the Hoogovens metal composite panel system.
The office building consists of a public core area and an office area. The main structure is a cast-in-place reinforced concrete frame structure, and part of the restaurant is a steel structure. The wall adopts Hoogovens metal composite panel system and glass curtain wall.
The Airbus Tianjin Final Assembly Line (Asia Final Assembly Line) was put into operation in 2008 and has completed the final assembly of more than 600 A320 series aircraft. Airbus has more than 2,000 active fleets in China, which means that 30% of the aircrafts are produced in China. We recently conducted a return visit to the project. Practice has proved that under the double test of severe sand and dust in the north, strong coastal winds and high corrosion, the Hoogovens building system still shows excellent performance after 15 years of testing. It provides a reliable guarantee for the delivery and departure of each Airbus aircraft.
On April 6, 2023, witnessed by President Xi Jinping and French President Macron, Tianjin, AVIC and Airbus signed the "Framework Agreement for the Second Final Assembly Line Project of Airbus Tianjin A320 Series Aircraft".
Tianjin's second A320 Airbus series aircraft project is located in the Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone. It is built on the basis of the existing Airbus Tianjin Assembly Company factory area. The designed production capacity is 6 Airbus A320 series aircraft per month. After the completion of the project, the overall layout of two single-aisle aircraft assembly lines and one wide-body aircraft completion and delivery center will be formed in Tianjin, which will strongly support Airbus to increase its global production capacity and promote the vertical integration of the industrial chain and supply chain. Hoogovens Construction System is willing to grow together with Airbus and jointly contribute to the high-quality development of China's aviation industry!
