The roofing system for this project utilizes Hoogovens® H166 panel, with a roof height of 15 meters and single panels measuring 70 meters in length without any overlapping. Originating from Japan, where it has been successfully implemented in numerous projects, Santen Kerui chose this mature roof system as part of their joint venture with Japan. Additionally, they partnered with Hoogovens due to their commitment to high quality and track record of successful projects.
How can such a long roof panel be produced and transported to the roof successfully?

As is widely acknowledged, Chongqing boasts a lot of sloping terrain and is renowned as the "mountain city". Leveraging the natural topography surrounding it, Hoogovens opted not to install the on site rolling equipment on the concrete roof so as not to impede other professional construction. Instead, they positioned the rolling equipment on the hillside outside of the plant and erected a scaffold corridor from there to the roof cornice. This has facilitated convenient production and transportation.
